If you have been following me for a while on my socials (if you are note yet, you’re missing out so go give me a Follow here!) you probably know I follow a Plant Based Diet and have been on it for over 15 years. A Plant–Based Diet is a diet consisting mostly or entirely of foods derived from plants, including vegetables, grains, nuts, seeds, legumes and fruits, and with few or no animal products. I honestly feel my best when I eat Whole Foods, Less Processed Foods and Clean Food, but I follow a 80% – 20% approach to it, meaning I also have same space to include some ¨less healthy¨ or not Vegan foods, because life is about balance, and this is how I thrive.
Many studies and research has shown that a Plant Based Diet is unquestionably the healthiest diet to follow. I wouldn’t even call it a diet as I don’t like to use this word, but a Lifestyle. It was proven to prevent and reverse many chronic diseases like high blood pressure, cholesterol, heart disease, diabetes, cancer, amongst others. However, I am also an advocate for Bio Individuality, meaning that one person’s food might be another person’s poison, i.e. what is good for me or you might nor be good for other people and we should always experiment, try and fail, and see what works best for our body, what foods make us thrive and be healthy.
